Village life · 10 October 2026
East Brent offers a varied set of local activities. Some have dates confirmed in published listings; others have been announced by organisers without a reliable future timetable. The difference matters when planning a visit.
East Brent Village Hall
All-Sorts Community Choir is listed on Thursday evenings, 7.30–9.15pm, at the hall, Brent Road, East Brent (TA9 4JG). The listing says the first session is free and provides contact Sue Toon on 01278 760753. The current calendar includes dates through November.
Fiona Griffiths chair yoga is listed on Mondays at 11am in East Brent Village Hall. Check availability and booking conditions directly before travelling. The hall can also be hired: see the official Parish Council venue information.
East Brent Film Night
Next confirmed screening: Friday 6 November 2026 at 6.30pm — Dream Horse (PG), starring Toni Collette and Damian Lewis, at East Brent Village Hall. The October East Brent Parish Council village newsletter confirms £5 admission on the door (cash, card and contactless accepted), with a licensed bar and Marshfield Farm ice cream available. Brent Knoll Inn
A 2 October 2026 announcement lists bingo, Crochet Club, a baby-and-toddler group, skittles teams and live music. It is an invitation to join community activities, not evidence that any one event is scheduled for a particular date. Ask the pub for the latest sessions.
Church and village support
The Parish of Three Saints publishes services for St Mary’s, East Brent, and its other churches. Its bell-ringing page advertises Tuesday practices across three towers; contact the captain to confirm the venue before attending.
The Village Agent service offers confidential guidance to rural residents who need help accessing local services. The Parish Council also posts links to footpaths, defibrillators and mobile-library services.
The new village calendar shows the dated sessions and a separate directory for groups without confirmed future bookings.
